Finally, the Skyrim Special Edition was released on Steam and gladly I had all of the previous DLC and the game so I got it for absolutely free. I was very happy and excited to play the game once again with new graphics and without crashes and glitches. To my disappointment the game already had the bug or however you want to call it. Once I tried to launch the game I was getting api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer error. I found that this library is a Microsoft Runtime library and it should be present in every Windows Operating system by default. However, for some reason it was not present on my computer. I’ve checked the location where it supposed to be and it was not there. Gladly, guys on the steam forum have helped me to fix the issue, so I will gladly share the solution with you.
First of all, api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing error means that you just don’t have that library on your computer and it may be the result of virus attack, malware or any other thing. The most important is that you want to get it back in order to run programs that require that library for proper operation. So, what I did to fix api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing error is just simply downloaded and installed the missing dll file from here: http://fix4dll.com/apimswincrtruntimel110_dll. The installation is not a rocket science, you just need to copy and paste the file and run some command, the detailed instruction is also provided on the website.
