Few days ago, I’ve decided to make a backup of my iPhone on my computer, but seemed that I had an old version of iTunes and in order to make a backup I had to update to the most recent version. After downloading the latest version of iTunes for Windows 10 I’ve launched it and it gave me msvcr120.dll is missing error, so I downloaded it once again and reinstalled. The same error remained and I was not able to launch iTunes on my PC. I’ve tried to contact Apple support on their forum, but they couldn’t provide me with any working solution. They said that if the reinstallation didn’t fix the problem, I have to reinstall my operating system or try on different computer. I didn’t want to reinstall the whole operating system and decided to look for the solution for msvcr120.dll elsewhere.
After a while I found that msvcr120.dll is a system library which belongs to Microsoft Visual Studio software. I am not sure why iTunes requires this library, but I know that if this library is missing or damaged you won’t be able to run iTunes and other programs. To fix msvcr120.dll is missing from your computer error on Windows 10 I just had to download and install msvcr120.dll file from here: https://fix4dll.com/msvcr120_dll.
