Because I’ve been busy with my exams and stuff, I’ve not played any game on my computer for a while, so when I had some time to myself, I decided to play a little. RPG is my favourite game genre and I purchased Divinity: The Original Sin 2, which was released few days ago on Steam. However, I’m yet to touch it. After installing the game using Steam, I attempted to launch it and received a system error message stating that wldcore.dll is missing from my computer and that I should reinstall the program in other to fix it. Worth mentioning that I am running the latest version of Windows 10 64 bit. After reinstalling the game, the error wldcore.dll is missing persisted. All my attempts to solve this error were unsuccessful. I tried running the game through the folder, and to verify the game cache amongst other things.
I stopped trying to solve the wldcore.dll is missing error on my own after a while and started looking for a way out on the internet. The Steam community forum was of no use as the users advised me to have the game reinstalled and verify the cache, all of which I had done before, so I decided to dig deeper. I discovered that some users on certain forums were also experiencing the wldcore.dll is missing error on Windows 10 and one of the users was able to fix it by installing the missing library. So, I went to https://fix4dll.com/wldcore_dll where I downloaded and installed the wldcore.dll library in my syswow64 library by following the installation instructions on the website. I rebooted the system afterward and was able to launch the game and it has been working fine ever since.
