Racing is a serious hobby of mine. I love riding in my car or motorcycle in real life and playing racing video games like the Need For Speed series. NFS Payback is one of my all-time favourites. I purchased the game on Steam a while ago and I decided to install and play it with my friends yesterday. I couldn’t launch the game after installing it because of the msvcp140.dll is missing error message that popped up immediately I started playing the NFS Payback. I hadn’t encountered such problems during any of my previous installation on Steam, which is why I was so confused about what to do. According to the game cache verification, there was no problem with the installation of the game and nothing else was missing, but I still couldn’t launch the game because of the msvcp140.dll.
After going through some forums, I concluded that there was something wrong with the operating system of my Windows10 64 bit and the msvcp140.dll is missing file. The file doesn’t come with the game, so I had to look for it and have it installed on my system. I discovered a genuine msvcp140.dll in https://fix4dll.com/msvcp140_dll. I followed the website’s installation instructions after downloading the file and was able to install and register it on my system successfully after which I was finally able to launch the NFS Payback after a quick reboot without receiving the msvcp140.dll is missing error message.
