My friend just wanted to buy a brand new iPhone 6 so he sold me his iPhone 5S. I have never used iPhones before, and I was quite surprised when he told me that I need to install iTunes to be able to connect the phone to the computer. Well, I went to the apple website and downloaded the latest version of iTunes. After the installation was completed I tried to launch iTunes and got an error message saying that iTunes couldn’t be launched because mediatoolbox.dll is missing. I didn’t know what to do so I wrote to the apple support and got a quick fix that solved the problem.
The apple support answered me within 24 hours and told me that mediatoolbox.dll is a part of CoreMedia program developed by Apple Inc. And it might be some bug or maybe my anti-virus software that removes the mediatoolbox.dll during the installation of the iTunes. If the re-installation of the program didn’t fix the mediatoolbox.dll is missing error then I have to download and install the missing mediatoolbox.dll library by myself. So, I downloaded and installed mediatoolbox.dll from here: http://fix4dll.com/mediatoolbox_dll and finally was able to launch iTunes. This fix worked perfectly for me and I am running Windows 8 64 bit Operating System. Probably should work on any system.
